Restylane is the most well known dermal filler in the United States, known for its safety, efficacy and longstanding results. Restylane is made out of Hyaluronic acid which closely resembles the same substance that occurs naturally in the body. Juvederm Ultra™ and Juvederm Ultra Plus are fillers consisting of a smooth gel that when injected help to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds such as the nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth). Juvederm is made of Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to hydrate and add volume to the skin. The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm supplements the body’s natural supply of this substance. Juvederm comes in two formulations, Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus. The latter formulation is more robust, giving us the ability to better treat deeper folds and wrinkles. It may last a bit longer as well. Juvederm can last up to one year.

Sculptra™ is a synthetic material that is injected below the surface of the skin to create a fuller, smoother, more youthful looking appearance. It provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of wrinkles, folds and sunken areas in the face. It is provided in a series of three monthly treatments and lasts for years.

Cosmoderm is dermal filler substances made of collagen, the main building material of the skin. Cosmoderm is used to treat the problematic vertical lip lines and the furrow between the eyebrows. It can also be used to define the border of the lip, for the eye hollows and in the crow’s feet region. Cosmoderm can last up to 6 month, although the actual time varies depending on the patient’s characteristics and the anatomical region being treated.

The main advantage of Cosmoderm is that it can be injected very superficially into the skin and thus it is useful in areas of thin skin and for very fine wrinkles such as in the upper lip or crow’s feet region.
